A 480gsm French terry hoodie in a slightly cropped fit, with a cracked digital print of jets and horses across the chest. The heaviest piece in AW26 and the one that feels most obviously expensive on.
Jets and horses
Cavalry started on horseback and ended up airborne. The print puts both on the same chest — the animal and the machine that replaced it — printed with a deliberate cracked finish so it reads as something already worn in rather than something applied yesterday.
Digital print was chosen over embroidery on purpose. At this scale thread flattens fine detail, and a design that depends on the line work of a horse against the geometry of an aircraft needed the detail kept.
480gsm, and why that number matters
Most hoodies sit between 280 and 350gsm. At 480 this is close to double the weight of a high-street equivalent, and you feel it the moment you pick it up — the fabric has enough density to hold its own shape rather than hanging off the shoulders, and it doesn't go thin after a winter of wear.
The trade-off is honest: it takes longer to dry and it's warm enough that you won't want it indoors in a heated room. That's the deal with genuine heavyweight terry.
The fit
Slightly cropped in the body, which is what stops a hoodie this heavy reading as bulky. Signature ribbed cuff and waistband detailing hold the shape at both ends. It sits over the Saint-Germain long sleeve tee and under the Chuck Jacket.

Frequently asked questions
What does 480gsm actually feel like?
Substantially heavier than a standard hoodie, which typically runs 280–350gsm. It holds its shape, doesn't cling, and is warm enough to replace a light jacket in autumn.
How cropped is it?
Slightly — enough to keep the proportion clean rather than dramatically short. Exact body lengths for every size are in the size guide.
Will the print crack or peel?
The cracked texture is part of the design, applied deliberately rather than a fault. Wash cold and inside out and don't iron over it, and it stays as intended.
Why print instead of embroidery?
The design carries fine detail that thread can't hold at this scale. Embroidery would have flattened it.
Does it shrink?
Wash cold and hang to dry and it holds its measurements. On a cropped body, length is what you least want to lose — never tumble dry.
